We provide everything you
need to surf in one easy lesson!
We specialize in all levels from beginning to advanced.
The classes are two hours long and include use of a rashguard, surf shoes, a soft top surfboard, and safety fins. The lessons include an approximate
fifteen minute land lesson on the basics of surfing, emphasizing
water safety. The rest of the time is spent with an instructor
in the water teaching you how to catch your own waves and
giving great surfing tips!
The Maui WaveRider staff
consists of true Hawaiians
who have surfed all their lives.
We guarantee the longest water time, and after the class
students can continue surfing on their own (providing
the boards are available). Our professional instructors
are CPR/First Aid trained and provide quality surf lessons
with a passion for teaching surfing. They have an excellent
water safety record and have a strong knowledge of surf
history. Our surfer/instructor ratio is five students to
one instructor. We have male and female instructors. For children under seven we encourage parent
participation or, perhaps, a private lesson.

Tom and his Maui Waveriders instructors have taught thousands of people to surf, from as young as 3 1/2 to as old as 77, no matter what size or shape.
